IF - MY paradise

my kind of paradise lies here on earth: in any quiet place where there's a small forest, a gentle stream or lake nearby, a path shaded with rows of trees, and a small house for me to live in...

It seems that a lot of us on Illustration Friday love to be in quiet places filled with nature and inspiration. I haven't seen too many city scenes. What does that say about us... Excellent piece.

What a lovely and serene environment, but it is missing something... Oh, I know! Where is the sweet scent of fresh baked cookies or a pie? :D

Nice pie, I really dig the child's facial expression.

thanks everyone, for your nice comments.

imwithsully: maybe it means that we artists love nature so much we don't want to trade it to anything else!

I love this painting! That was a wonderful gift you gave; as I read the post about on Britt-Arnhild's blog. What a thoughtful heart!

I had to come over from Britt-Arnhild's, to see for myself the artist who painted this wonderful Norvegian image, with the little girl just so as I know her from real life. Bravissima,
I shall come by again, excellent work,
best wishes from Vienna,
Merisi

That is a beautiful place indeed. Ella, when I was small we used to go to puncak for cool temperature and trees. Is it still like that now?
