learning oil

learning to paint in oil. it's not finished, though.
by the way i copied the picture from a thin large book about painting cats. (it's awesome...)

oil on canvas, 30x30 cm.

How lovely.. You have to keep going on this, is great. :o) I have never tried oils either and always wanted to try. It's nice to try new things, isn't it?

It's wonderful, you should keep at this. The cat has a nice sculpted feel and the touches of light are great.

Wow, Ella, you're so versatile! This is really good, it looks like you've been using oils for a long time!

I'd like to try acrylics at some point, but I feel like I need to practice more ink and watercolor, get better with those mediums first, before tackling something new. But maybe I just need to be bold like you and not be afraid of trying new things. :-)

oil is quite nice if i knew the techniques better, Amy. :D but yes, i like oil, it gives much more possibilities than watercolor and easier. or so i think..(?) ^_^
