I wouldn't recognize this as yours but I like it just the same. I really like the composition. I think I miss your colors but it is great to see your diversity.
I absolutely love it! It stands well without color. It's a strong but gentle illustration with great line and shading and composition. I like how the smoke and the walkways connect to form a circle.
I like it for the feeling of connection too, with the circular composition it creates! The boys spying are good also. I'm inspired to try some ink work again now.

Both representations are wonderful! I love the idea of the boys spying on neighbors and the colors, as always are gorgeous.
But, there is something so elemental and wonderful about the houses. Plain ink is refreshing to see and you've handled it beautifully. Kudos!
